Choosing which products
are right for you is easy. Often
times you just need to look at what your skin is
like. If it is dry, Vata skin care is best; for
sensitive or combination skin, Pitta type is optimal;
Oily skin works best with Kapha products. Another thing to
remember is that skin type can change, either with the seasons or
as you grow older. In this case changing the type of
skin care one uses is imperative. Here is a quick skin type
quiz to use as a handy reference:
1. I
notice most of my skin problems on my:
A.
Forehead
B.
Cheeks and Nose
C.
Chin
2.
My skin feels:
A.
Dry, rough, cold
B.
Soft, slightly oily, hot
C. Oily
and cold
3.
My pores are:
A.
Small
B.
Large in the T-zone, small elsewhere
C.
Large and open
4.
My skin undertones are:
A.
Blue
B.
Red
C.
Yellow
5. I
have:
A.
Fine lines
B.
Freckles
C.
Blackheads
6.
My skin is prone to:
A.
Dryness
B.
Inflammation and rashes
C.
Acne
Now
add up the number of A's B's and C's you marked off. If you
answered mostly A's you have Vata skin; Predominantly B's you
have Pitta skin; and if you marked C the most, you have Kapha
skin. |
